How long does the training take to complete?

The training lasts one day. While it’s short, the course is packed with relevant information, and practical exercises.

Is the training hard?

It’s not designed to be particularly difficult, although a lot of content is covered.

What topics are covered in the SMSTS course?

The course covers health and safety legislation, risk assessments, site inductions, toolbox talks, hazard identification, environmental responsibilities, accident prevention, and how to promote a positive safety culture across your site.

How long is the certificate valid for?

The certificate is valid for five years. To renew, you will need to take the training again.
